Day 6 – September 4, 2016

On our way back from Akureyri, Doug and I stopped at Goðafoss. This was one of my favorite waterfalls (but let’s be honest, they are all great). The water was bright blue and turbulent, churning up tons of mist and water spray. The hike is short, and you tip-toe over puddles and stone to get a view from the edge. It was breathtaking. It didn’t look like there was access to the base of the foss, but the view from above was more than enough.

There is also a trail on the other side, but we were satisfied with the view that we had.
